I’ve known David for a while. Most recently, we worked together on Frankie Miller’s “Double Take” album: David lifted Frankie’s vocal from some cassette demos, made over 17 years ago, and added new instrumentation. Then he asked a number of notable artists to sing “duets” with Frankie’s voice. Elton heard about the project and insisted on being involved! The album is due for release in late 2016, and the proceeds will go to the Nordoff Robbins foundation.
