I forgot to set my alarm last night, so I was woken up by Keith Bradley calling me on the phone. I thought “why is he calling me so early?” Then I glanced at the clock and realised it was 9.15! In 15 minutes I managed to shower, dress, brush teeth, gather all my “bits”, rush down to the cafe, purchase a double mocha (very important, that one) and a banana (!?), and make it to the van before the guys got too impatient. We ARE, after all, dubbed “The Early
Band”… Rehearsal was intensive… we played non-stop, one song after another, for nearly 3 hours before taking a break. Sounding great, though.The kit is really starting to come together. My in-ear monitors take a bit of time to adjust, but Pete is doing a good job. After all this time, he generally knows what I need to hear.
Early night tonight. After another chiropractic treatment, I was rather sore, so I sat (with an ice pack) and watched the baseball… playoffs: Yankees vs. Indians… very exciting. The Cleveland Indians came through from 3-0 down to win 7-5, and live to fight another day. Of course, I am.
